Hi.We live in Takizawa in Fujieda, which is located in a rural area that's famous for producing tea. My father first started organically cultivating and harvesting tea in 1975 and still does today regionally with many others. My activity is suited for anyone with an interest in tea so feel free to visit me in Shizuoka, the number one exporter of tea in Japan!

We visited tea farm in a group of six people and we all enjoyed that day. We visited tea fields, we could tried wonderful and delicious food during the lunch time (you can not find this taste in any restaurant!) and we tried tasty organic tea. I hope one day we will visit Ayumi family for a longer time. I recommend this experience for any person visiting Japan. Agata
This was a fantastic experience! Our hosts were very lovely and the tea farms are absolutely beautiful!
We had a fantastic experience visiting with Tamiko and her entire family. Tamiko really took the time to show us around the beautiful surrounding area as well as the farm, taking pictures, and she even made a few extra stops for us whenever we saw something we were interested in seeing :-) Having an organic lunch with the entire family was great and hearing her father's story about his philosophy of organic farming was very educational and we couldn't have agreed more! Their tea tastes amazing as well. We would love to visit again during different seasons for picking and making the tea!! Thank yo so much for this tour and opportunity.
Marvelous trip to the mountains. We were shown lovely tea fields, got a great explanation of their tea production and drove all through the mountains (we even got to see the wild cherry blossoms in full bloom from a distance, magnificent!).
After the visit we were invited to their home and got a spectacular lunch, and got to talk with the parents who started this ground-breaking organic tea farm (they were ridiculed almost 40 years ago by the other villagers but the results are great). We finished by getting a tasting of their lovely green tea.
A big thank you to Tamiko and Ayumi and their family for being such perfect hosts!
I recommend this trip to everyone.
Me and my wife had a great day with Ms. Tamiko. Even though there was a lot of rain during the day we visited several tea fields and had a nice tasting after a traditional lunch meal with the whole family. We were able to put a lot of questions to her and her father who also gave us their story of the difficulties encountered when starting an organic farming process in Japan.
We were picked up and dropped off at the station, also got good recommendations of accommodation in the area!
Thanks Tamiko and Ayumi!
Tamiko and her sister Ayumi and their entire family were so welcoming! The initial experience was so appealing because it's not your typical tour and not in a touristy location. It is honest people who've run an organic tea farm for over 40 years, and you as a visitor, get a glimpse of that. Tamiko was so accommodating, that while we were viewing the different fields and landscape, she let us take our time when she found out we were all photographers, and really wanted to shoot the location. The homemade lunch and tea tasting was delicious and enlightening. We had a great conversation with the whole family and learned a lot. She even was kind enough to drop us off at our ryokan in town as well as to the train. Very wonderful experience!
My boyfriend and I visited Tamiko and her family's beautiful home and tea plantation. They welcome you with open arms, unbelievable home made traditional food from their farm and gorgeous tea. We had a great time being shown around their land and the community which is also beautiful. Over all fantastic hosts and experience. Their story is heart warming and I'm honoured to have been welcomed. Thank you! - Jaz and Kieran
We had an absolutely lovely time with Ayumi and her family. Tamiko was very helpful showing us around the farm, and the home cooked home grown food was delicious. Highly recommended, we'll come back again next time we visit Japan
This was an experience beyond my greatest expectations. The Kinezuka family are amazing hosts and they have beautiful tea fields! The views were breathtaking even out of season. Our lunch was made from all homegrown vegetables and every dish was delicious. They answered our many questions and taught us so much about tea growing and tasting. I recommend this trip to any and everyone. You won't regret it.
I visited the farm in June 2014 and had a great experience! We were met at the train station, and got a personal tour of the tea fields, rice fields, and processing barn; met the whole family (including the horses and ducks); and enjoyed a tasty traditional family-style meal. In addition to learning about tea farming in Japan met wonderful people. I highly recommend this tour of a family farm.
