Hi!
I live in Shizuoka prefecture where Mt Fuji is located. I've been raised in Shimada city where Ooi River flows. I have been a volunteer guide for many foreign visitors around my city.
I have an interest in traditional Japanese culture and like natural places as well as cultural heritage sites. Please enjoy the beautiful Japanese landscape with my tour!

A perfect and very personal experience

Teruyo was a very warm and welcoming host and we felt very at ease with her. The factory tour was very interesting, although the information was provided in english by the factory, it would have been hard to get there ourselfs. Teruyo helped us with information and translation. The tea picking was also vefy nice for us tea-lovers. The lunch at the restaurantt was very tasty and I can recommend it to everyone! After that Teruyo took us to some very nice places like a quiet rice field area, the longest wooden bridge of the world and a little tea shop where we could try many different types of tea and we got interesting information as well and did some shopping. It was a perfect day for us, we enjoyed ourselfs and we would recommend Teruyo to everyone. She was an exeptional host!

Learning about tea, agriculture in Makinohara

Teruyo was a fantastic guide -- resourceful, knowledgeable, helpful, flexible, and very, very friendly. She was very open to my requests and suggestions (we went a little bit off the beaten track and it was great!). I truly enjoyed spending time with her and learned a lot about tea, farming and life of local people. Highly recommended.
