Good Value & Great Snow
Overall, I enjoyed the package trip. The bus was a little early in arriving, on time to pick us up; the hotel room was well-furnished and the provided food was basic but tasty. The snow was great and the town of Naeba is quite small, so you're never far from the hill. The Japanese powder is the lightest, fluffiest and most forgiving I think I've ever boarded in. Been boarding at Whistler for years and have only ever had a handful of days where the snow was comparable. Seems to be business as usual in Japan :).
The Voyagin staff responded to my queries promptly and with plenty of information. All tickets/documents are in Japanese, so I did have to ask a clerk or two for clarification while I was there... but I have no problem with that. To be expected from an ignorant, English-only Canadian :P.
Pros: Good value, great snow, responsive staff, the ski resort is very well equipped.
Cons: If you aren't an experienced traveler (picking up context clues, navigating in a foreign language), you may have a little trouble and would need to set yourself up with good directions pre-travel.
