In this tour, you will wear hakama, a traditional style kimono from the Meiji Period, and visit the splendid open-air museum Meiji Village in Inuyama city, Aichi prefecture (not far from Nagoya).
The hakama is a kimono style that was popular approximately 140 years ago. It's a very pretty costume suitable for both ladies and gentlemen. Walking around the Meiji Village dressed in hakama will make you feel like you've slipped back in time to the old centuries.
Meiji Village is an open-air historical museum with replicas of buildings and streets from 140 years ago. Some of the buildings are not reproductions but originals moved here from various parts of Japan!
Below you will find the schedule for this tour:
8:00 - Dress up in hakama in a hotel near Meitetsu Inuyama Station
10:40 - Go to Meiji Village Museum and walk around the open-air park. You can take plenty of nice photos and try delicious Japanese dishes!
16:00 - Leave the historical park and go back to Meitetsu Inuyama Station
18:00 - Return the hakama and end the tour
