Charming Kyoto, delicious sake testing and Hisami is the amazing!

Kyoto is as charming as it is beautiful and it is such a shame I was only there for two nights. Luckily, Hisami made sure that my first tour in Kyoto was fun, informative and full of laughs. We visited Teradaya Inn, the Gekkeikan museum and brewery, and Fushimi Inari Shrine. The brewery was definitely my favourite, the sake testing was divine and Hisami even bought me a small gift!!! I also bought sake biscuits while there and they were so yummy (the bottle of sake also went down a treat). I am very glad I chose this tour, Hisami felt more like a friend than a stranger by the end of the tour - when I mentioned how much I loved mochi and dango she made sure to drop me off at the Isetan where there is an entire floor dedicated to exquisite Japanese sweets. Heaven!! I would absolutely recommend this tour. Thanks again Hisami for being a wonderful host.

    Great tour Awesome host

This is a great tour & Hisami was a fab host. Very informative on the art of sake making as well as providing general information about the area & very attentive. Highly recommended!! A tip - get an Uji/Fushimi 1-day ticket via the Keihan subway & you receive discounts at certain restaurants in the are as well as a gift of sake from the museum. You can then see the other sites once the tour is finished!! Hisami can also guide you with other sites!!

    A wonderful morning

Hisami was an attentive and punctual guide. We enjoyed the conversation with her on the way to Fushimi, and the recommendation to lunch at the restaurant of a sake brewery. Let's do Yamazaki together the next time, Hisami!

    Hisami is the best!

Hisami's sake tour was wonderful! She came to meet us at our hotel and whisked us to Fushimi for a super fun afternoon! Even though it was rainy and muggy her enthusiasm kept us excited too. We toured the Teradaya Inn, the Gekkeikan museum and brewery, and of course, Fushimi Inara Shrine. Hisami translated for us things we couldn't understand and helped translate for us to staff, plus adding her own anecdotes about ghosts at the Inn and the history of sake and the industry in Fushimi. She took pictures for us and made sure we got all the best souvenirs. She helped us pray and make wishes at Fushimi Inara, and even though we'd had a long, tiring, and very wet day, she made sure we experienced everything we set out to do without being overwhelmed. We thank Hisami for a great tour and definitely recommend you go for it!
