    Wonderful Kyoto Day!

Eric was a great guide, showing us the popular and intrepid spots of Kyoto - his eastern highlights. Myself and partner loved the day and felt well informed as well as pleasantly exercised and happily fed and cultured .Would highly recommend!

    Highlight of our Kyoto Experience!

We absolutely LOVED our tour with Niall. The bike tour was our first experience in Kyoto and he was able to provide great details about the city and culture, must see's, and best times to visit the tourist hot-spots. Our guide even helped us make phone calls to coordinate a lost suitcase with the airport which was a HUGE help.

We highly recommend this tour to anyone - biking is such a great way to see the city and with a guide you really get the most out of your day.

A GREAT way to see Kyoto!

We enjoyed biking around Kyoto with our private guide Niall. He showed us many hidden streets and neighborhoods as well as temples and shrines. Along the way he would give us short history lessons and information about Kyoto. We had a delicious lunch together along the way and then continued biking around. We had 5 people total including teenagers. We all loved this tour!!! Would highly recommend.

Fun, patient, knowledgeable guide to discover Kyoto with

I did two great tours with Emilien at Kyoto Fun. One with a group of 5 people, one private. Kyoto is an amazing city to explore on a bike, and Emilien is a friendly, knowledgeable and patient guide. I saw so many temples and shrines that I would not have made it to on my own. I feel like Emilien really loves Kyoto, and is having a blast showing people around the city and sharing what he knows. I would highly recommend trying to book him for a private tour if you can! The day of our private tour we went to several beautiful Zen rock gardens (an interest of mine), had tea, and biked through a market and the Imperial Palace grounds. He was super flexible all day, customizing the tour as we went along. Also we saw several geisha and maiko women, so if you are interested in finding them, Emilien knows where they tend to be!

Best bike tour in Kyoto - coming again next year!

Hi everyone - I had one of the best days of my Japan trip exploring in a small group on bikes (best way to see Kyoto) with Niall. He's so knowledgable and knows just where to find a Maiko on her way to work, THE best organic Korean beef bowl lunch and IMPORTANTLY the Sanjusangendo Temple which will move you to tears as there's nothing quite like it! the 1001 statues of Kannon will be a favourite. Can't wait to see you next year Niall and looking forward to crazy ghost stories. : )

    Bike tour with Niall

It's our first time in Kyoto and Niall showed us around on our bikes. Niall was down to earth, friendly and informative- he made us feel like we've been friends for years. Really enjoyed our 5 hour bike tour and would totally recommend this!

Today we planed the cycling tour through Kyoto. Unfortunately it was raining and not ideal for a bycicle ride. Niall our guide responsible for this tour, was so flexible to change it to a taxi tour. So we visited old parts of Kyoto, some shrines and temples in the rain. Had lunch in a special place and mystic walks trough the rain. Thank you Niall for passing us all your knwoledg about history, we especially liked the talks about real life in Japan. You seem to know a lot about their habits and likings. This was facinating and interesting to get to know things you can not read in books. I liked your calm and relaxed way not pushing or trying to follow a prefixed itinerary. So even in the rain and with no cycling we enjoyd your company and this tour very much. It felt like walking with an old friend. Somehow a european view on a japanese matter. Thank you very much!

An amazing tour with an amazing guide

We decided to spend the day in Kyoto as we travelled from Kobe to Tokyo. We wanted to do something fun and unique so we chose the Cycling Tour. From the start, we knew we had made the right decision. The timing of this private tour was adjusted to work with our schedule. We were presented with three recommended options for tours, all of which looked amazing. Our tour guide, Emilien, was amazing, because he has taken the time to learn so much about the sights and the culture. Kyoto has so much to see and you cannot see it in one day, but this amazing tour by an amazing tour guide will give you so much of the flavor of Kyoto. Take my advice and cycle your way through Kyoto with Emilien.

    Fun times!

Went on a private tour with Emilien. He was extremely informative and knowledgable of Japanese culture and history, we managed to learn a lot within the short span of time spent with him. Definitely recommend this tour! Lots of fun with friendly and super informative guides. Visit Kyoto feeling like a local whilst learning all about the culture and history behind the attractions.
