Hi, I'm Tokie.

I was born and grew up in Osaka, and I have lived in Osaka for 90% of my life. I like to show people around my city, not only famous sightseeing places but also local places where you can feel how real Osaka is.

I also travel a lot. I have traveled to Europe, South East Asia, North and Central America, and more. I always enjoyed tours where I could meet local people and enjoy an awesome experience. So I want to offer similar tours here in Osaka.

My likes:
1. Local tours
2. Good food
3. Cooking
4. Language and culture exchange (I can teach Japanese!)
5. Japanese calligraphy
6. Running (I have some marathon experiences.)
7. The beach (That's what I miss here in Osaka!)

Please contact me if you want to enjoy Osaka and Japan!

    Loved it!

My husband and I fully enjoyed the trip through Arashiyama and Tenryu-ji. Shun was a great guide who was quite knowledgeable about the place.

She was very accommodating. We had a lot of fun and she showed us around and was willing to help , recommend places to see after her guide with us. Sorry for the late response to this review. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting kyoto.

Our Kyoto Arashiyama tour was fantastic!
Our guide Junko met us in the lobby of our Kyoto hotel and explained clearly where we would be going, how we would go, and what we would be visiting.
She was very interested in "us", she asked about our travels so far in Japan, what our interests in Japan are, and she was just so accommodating to what we wanted to learn about the Japanese culture. She focused right in on interests and each step of the tour she explained clearly and gave us the history.
Junko did not rush, she walked at a nice relaxing pace so that we would be able to have lots of photo opportunities and she even took many pictures of us at each stop. She answered all of questions and we learned so much from her! Her kindness, patience and detailed explanations is what made this tour so much more meaningful!
We are the kind of people that love to visit the outskirts of Japan and Arashiyama is one of those "wow" places that we will always remember and definitely return to. Small, gorgeous, historical, cultural, etc...it's the whole package, just what tourist love to see! Lot's of places to eat and shop, easy to navigate, frequent trains, a definite must for everyone to visit!
I booked this tour because it was suggested to me my another Voyagin Guide "Joe Samurai". We are so happy that we did because this was something that we would have just skipped over and not seen if it were not for his recommendation! It is worth it to tour places with a "local" because you just get more out of it!
Highly recommend taking the time to visit Arashiyama, but booking the tour with a knowledgeable guide makes it even better!
Thank you Junko for making our experience in Aryashiyama so memorable!

    Great Tour of Arashiyama!!!

Our tour guide, Steve, was awesome!! He showed us around the temple, gardens, bamboo forest, and the monkey park, and wrapped up with lunch. He gave us a great recommendation for dinner later on, and helped us set up reservations. We had a wonderful time, and such a nice, fun area to explore! Would highly recomend this tour.

    Splendid day

I would do this tour again tomorrow if I could. Very beautiful and serene. I loved every minute of it. Erico-San was a perfect guide. She had all sorts of interesting information and tips. She was very thoughtful and really took her time to make sure that we had a wonderful experience. We finished the tour and had the most delicious tofu set menu in a restaurant that Erico introduced to us. It was something I will treasure about my trip to Japan.

    Wonderful tour with Yoji

The tour was even better than we anticipated. Yoji, a history professor, was very interesting. He truly exceeded our expectations and took us to the Golden Pavilion in addition to the sites listed. We highly and enthusiastically recommend him.

Great tour - Niall was a great guide, and took us to some really nice places. He was familiar with the area and was able to not only talk about the temples and areas we visited, but answer our questions about the city generally. Ryozo was a great host, and there was no problem in booking the trip or clearing up any confusion afterwards. Highly recommended!

It is an excellent trip. The scenes we've witnessed during the trip are full of historical and cultural essence. The service from the host was also impressive with good level of delicacy.

We had a great day, Hiroko was our guide and she was very informative. We had limited time in Kyoto but Hiroko showed us everything and more, even took us back to the train station and help us getting back to where we were meant to go. Would highly recommend this tour.
