I was born and raised in Hakone, one of the most popular destinations in Japan. I spent 6 years in France and 5 years in the U.S.A. when I was a student so I know both the Japanese and western cultures well. My hometown is well known for spectacular views of Mt. Fuji, great hot-spring resorts, beautiful trekking routes, and many more.
I’m currently living in the Hakone area, so I can show you many good sightseeing spots upon your requests; trekking and experiencing the beauty of nature in the region, visiting special spots to see the sunrise/sunset against Mt.Fuji, exploring secret hot-springs, experiencing Japanese craftsmanship, and more!
I have the following qualifications as a professional guide.
*Tourist Guide/English licensed by JNTO
*Mountain Guide Stage II licensed by JMGA (in progress)
*Wilderness First Aid licensed by WMA
*Certified Itinerary Control Manager
If you are interested in visiting the Hakone area, let me help you enjoy your stay and have a great experience.

Awesome guide and awesome scenery.
Shin is a great guide. He customized the tour for us and made sure we were comfortable all day. We did a nice hike up Mt. Kinotki, which was great after having spent so much time in cities. He even brought hot tea and chocolate for us to enjoy at the summit. Shin also took us to a beautiful shrine, a nice vista spot, and an interesting old tea house. His English is excellent, and he has a very comfortable and new van that he drove us in. Shin picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel, which made the day very easy. Highly recommend him!
