As a culinary specialist and as a nutritionist I cook at home and host “Tukurukoto wo Tanoshimu” (Having fun making) class dressmaking and kimono-making. I’ve gone to many places as well as a “cook who makes business trips”. While being a home tutor for high schoolers for 11 years, I also went to Korea to study their food. After that, I started work at a kitchen at a hospital attached to Tokyo Medical and Dental University that makes over 600 meals a day. After leaving that post, I have done jobs such as catering, Japanese cooking lessons for foreigners in Japan, and work as a private cook.

Enjoyed it a lot and picked up great cooking skills!

    Keiko was really awesome host!
Even though it was the first time for me to cook,I got to make traditional Japanese meals and it was actually delicious thanks to Keiko. Keiko was very patient and friendly and you can also enjoy how it looks like to cook in Japanese local house through her lesson.
Now I became very confident with cooking!
I will recommend Keiko's lesson to my friends :)

    Wonderfully informative and super fun!

I knew absolutely nothing about Japanese cooking and Keiko was marvelous in teaching me not only the basics of how to cook, but the history and evolution of Japanese cuisine, regional differences, and even nutritional value. She is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. It was lovely to be able to learn in the intimacy of her own home and I was touched by her kind hospitality. It was a wonderful experience, and I hope to learn more advanced cooking from her in the future!

I had a fantastic time learning how to cook. Keiko san is very knowledgable and tries her best to impart some basic but important skills regarding temperature heat, etc. After cooking, we had a great time having our conversation over lunch. I would definitely recommend this activity for folks who like to cook or know how to cook but would like to learn some important techniques.

Thank you Keiko san for everything

We really enjoyed learning to make miso soup and okonomiyaki with Keiko. She gave us hard copies of the recipe too, so I'll definitely try making okonomiyaki again! Thanks a lot for the lesson and for accommodating Adam's fish allergy.

What a great class!!! It was everything I was hoping for and more :) Keiko was excellent at communicating before the class and accommodating my vegetarian diet! We made veggie tempura along with miso soup and a few other delicious things and I learned a lot about cooking and Japanese customs. It was very educational and fun! Keiko is a fantastic host and made the experience very special! I highly recommend this course!

Had a great time cooking with Keiko! I had no problem speaking both English and Japanese with her. She's a great teacher and a lovely hostess. I'm just beginning my experience with Japanese cooking, but I'm looking forward to learning more, and would definitely take another class with Keiko.

Keiko is an amazing teacher, and she is very in love with the gastronomy, so it makes so easy enjoy and learn. She picked me at the train station with a handmade ''welcome sign'' and then, we went to her house. After the lesson, she gave me a cute present I still keep >.<

I totally fell in love when I saw all the boats with food and beautiful dishes and chopsticks!

She didn't just teach me how to cook, she gave me a lot of nutritional information and moreover, explanation about the ingredientes so it was easy for me to find something similar in Spain.

If you have the change of meeting her, she won't disppoint yopu, highly recommended!

    Japanese Cooking Lesson with Keiko

We had a great night with Keiko. Our family of 4 felt very comfortable and welcome in Keiko's home. Everything about the evening was excellently planned on her part. From the pickup at the JR train station to every aspect of the cooking class, everything ran smooth as silk. Keiko is well travelled and a super nice lady and her English is great. Feel like we made a new friend in Japan as well as learned to cook several yummy dishes.
