Do you know what Japanese dance is?
Japanese dances have a long history. For example, they come from Japanese folklore, history, festivals, etc. Some of you know Kabuki theater. Kabuki is really like Japanese dance but, Kabuki is not allowed to be played by girls.
On the other hand, Japanese dance is open for everybody. You can enjoy not only dancing with Kimono, but also feeling Japanese Omotenashi hospitality!
It takes about 2 and half to 3 hours. We can adjust the time.
We'll pick you up at Morioka Station in Iwate. You can come here from Tokyo by Shinkansen.
First, we'll teach you how to put on a Kimono. We have Kimono for different sizes: children, men, women, so everybody can join.
After putting on the Kimono, you can learn Japanese dance!
We have many songs and will teach you seasonal dances. For example, you can learn the cherry blossom's song and dance in spring.
After you finish the lesson, we can take photos of you and take a break with green tea.
After you return the Kimono, we'll take you to your hotel (in Morioka) or Morioka Station.
