Key Information

Description

Drifting is a driving technique where the driver intentionally oversteers, and the sport of drifting is said to have been born in Japan some 20 years ago and spread worldwide. Ebisu Circuit is a racing complex located in northern Japan near Fukushima, and a paradise for drift enthusiasts. It's one of the most popular drifting facilities in Japan, and features seven different courses, of which five are for drifting. The circuit’s managers, along with Team Orange, offer the service to tourists and those interested in getting a real drift experience. Ebisu promotes and welcomes all levels of experience. Based at Ebisu Circuit, the drift taxi service is piloted by Team Orange’s own talented drivers Nobushige Kumakubo and Naoto Suenaga, both active Japanese D1 drivers. Nobushige Kumakubo, or ‘Kuma,’ the founder of Ebisu Circuit, is a true legend and a true pioneer of the sport as he is known in the drifting community. Although paying for someone to take you around a race track at blistering speed isn’t a new concept, this is the first place to do it sideways! Kuma is literally giving back to every fan of the sport, even those who can’t drive. The taxi service uses a Toyota Mark II JZX110 or Toyota Chaser JZX100, with sporting drift orientated modifications. Both cars have twin Bride bucket seats located in the back for a maximum total of 3 passengers per session. ~ Schedule ~ - Reception at Higashi (East) Course Office - Ride at Touge Course Parking - Drift on Kita (North) Course/School Course/Minami (South) Course - End at Touge Course Parking Total: Approximately 1 hour ~ Time Slot ~ 10:00, 11:00, 14:00, 15:00
