decided to sign up last minute, and did not regret it at all. my maid (sarah) was very informative and showed me around alot of different cool places. if you have any special request feel free to talk to them about it so they can adjust your tour accordingly. for me, i didnt want to go to maid cafe because i already been to some before, so she ended taking me to the owl cafe instead. we had lots of fun, and 10/10 would recommend you to try if you are solo traveling or traveling in a pair.

    Made things easy and understandable

This tour made the neighborhood seem so much more than it would have been to me if I'd just walked the streets alone. Lisa was great, easy to talk to, and could point out things that I would have blithely past. Also it helped to have someone to navigate the maid cafe. That would have been tough otherwise.

    Great time in Akihabara!

I'm a solo traveler in Japan and I had a great time on this tour! Our maid was awesome and she showed us all of the unique spots in Akihabara. I returned to many of the spots we visited to do some shopping and I never would've known where to go without this tour. The experience at the maid cafe was really good too. Be prepared to spend a little extra money there if you want food and drinks. I do recommend getting a drink though, because the maids make serving the drinks an interactive and super cute experience.

I have been to japan many times. I have been trying to get out of my comfort zone and do things I normally would not have an interest in. Frankly, the whole "Kawaii". Thing is something I find a little irritating at times. Having said that, I decided that I needed a little taste of it before passing any kind of judgement.

I doubt I will ever go to a maid cafe again unless a friend asks me to take them to one, but I am glad I went on this tour. Our guide took us into the less known places of Akihabara and gave us a primer in Akihabara in general and more specifically the Otaku culture of the area. It was insightful and I kearned a lot.

The second half of the tour was at a maid cafe. It was pretty much what I expected. Although I thought it was a bit silly I did have a good time and fully participated in the activities with the maids. I wouldn't say it was wholesome, but it wasn't as sexualized as I thought it would be.

The guide, and I can't remember her name for the life of me, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She had an interesting backstory herself. Anyway, I highly recommend.

    A perfect experience

An absolutely fantastic tour. Our guide, Sarah, was exceptional and was a fount of knowledge. Her perfect English enabled us to communicate well with both her and the maids at the cafe. A truly lovely experience that my brother and I enjoyed very much. Thank you so much for an outstanding time.

    Sara was amazing!

We were with an 11 month old baby and booked the group tour. But we were the only ones so we got a private treatment which was very great. The tour was full of knowledge and I could really enjoy akihabara without having to waste time orienting. Sara was so knowledgeable about that city but also Japan in general. She gave excellent tips. The tour walk was very entertaining. Nothing I would change. One thing was only the point of meet up ... is it possible to make even more clear? We were lost ... anyways thanks again!

    Fantastic tour!

Sorry for the late review! But I wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my tour. The tour guide was very flexible for what our group wanted to do, and we ended up staying at the Maid Cafe a little longer! I made some wonderful friends during the tour, and despite it being wet and rainy and windy, I learnt a lot about Akihabara.
    Thank you!

    Amazing and Fun!

I had such a fun time with Sarah! She was extremely intelligent, fun, and such a nice girl. The tour showed me a lot of things I wouldn't see if I was just walking around alone. I highly suggest this tour and if you're lucky enough to get Sarah you'll have the time of your life.

    Thank you again!
