The Perfect Trip for Solo Travelers ! Tour Guide absolutely amazing !
I was looking for an experience that would enable me to see many of the places in Bali that I knew would be interesting to visit. This day tour met my expectations and then some! As a solo traveler my tour guide (Wayan Dui) couldn't have made me feel any more relaxed. He was so nice and so knowledgeable and tailored the day to the things I wanted to do. I learnt so much on the trip, from the many interesting facts about each site to Balinese culture and religion. I had an amazing buffet lunch overlooking the rice fields which was just stunning (cost around 100000, but totally worth it) My tour guide also knew many shortcuts, so I was thankful that we could skip sections of traffic! haha. As a solo traveler I was also happy that my tour guide volunteered to help me take pictures throughout the trip, which was great. Overall, the day was amazing and I'd recommend it to everyone!
should go with Govoyagin in Bali!
We had a wonderful Bali Tour with a kind and gentle guide Nyoman! We got an individual tour guide and the services as they suggested is 100% guarantee. We are not forced to eat, to see or to buy anything that we don't want to, Nyoman suggested the most interesting sites shouldn't miss and then we made our final decision following our schedule and health!
It was our first time to get a tour guide from Govoyagin and we are sure that we will comeback to them for our next trip!
Great Tour and Excellent Guide!
The tour itinerary was well thought out and our guide Tude was awesome. He provided a lot of insight into Balinese culture and customs and was very open to answering all of our questions. My husband typically prefers to do self guided touring, but he was especially impressed with how laid back and flexible this experience was thanks to our guide. There is no question we got to learn and experience a lot more than we would have ever been able to manage on our own. Tude even took us to one additional temple at our request and likely went past the normal allotted time in doing so. Overall I would highly recommend this tour for those looking for a culturally enriching experience, and I will certainly plan on contacting this group the next time we visit Bali!
Rice fields, temples and more!
The quality of the trip really depends on your guide. We were very fortunate in that our guide Nyoman was really good! We had long talks about Bali's everyday life, village culture, religious ceremonies and many many other things. He was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable and we were even luckier in than we visited Bali during the Galungan holidays and we had the tour on Hari Raya Galungan day! A very important religious event.
The stops themselves are all worth it. Tanah Lot is very cool and the Jatiluwih rice terraces offers the quintessential Bali image. Perfect for a quick (or longer!) photo shoot. Lake Bratan and the temple in it is also very nice although it was pretty crowded but hey it was a holiday so it's expected. We had a quick stop at a local market which while interesting we're not that excited by and ended with a visit at Taman Ayun Temple which is very impressive.
The only downside I can think of is that by the end of the day it's a bit tiring but we were literally barely 18 hours in Bali by that point. Maybe jet-lag played a part! Overall a highly recommended tour.
Great Cultural Experience!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience visiting the Bali world heritage sites. Tude was an excellent tour guide, was very professional, accommodating and spoke English very well. We enjoyed learning the history behind Bali's landmarks including Taman Ayun Temple, Lake Beratin Temple, Jatliwuh Rice Terraces and Tanah Lot Temple. Tude also brought us to a local market and provided us with various Balinese snacks to sample along our journey. We would highly recommend this tour and our tour guide Tude if you are visiting Bali. Thank you Voyagin for a great cultural experience!
Tour was excellent. Our tour guide Puta was great and very knowledgable. Take you to unreacjable spots that a normal tour bus wouldn't be able to get to. Was great learning about the culture of Bali. Highly recommend. Anisha
This tour was a great way to see some of the highlights of Bali that I felt I had missed on my more adventurous tours (ie climbing Batur, ATVs through rice paddies). This tour was great to fill in the gaps and to really round out my trip and I got to learn more about the history of different sites and Balinese culture.
I really appreciated my host's flexibility. For example, I really wanted to try some local fruits that I would not be able to find at home and so we stopped by a fruit stand and I got to try all sorts of fruits I had never even seen before.
Communicating with my host was great - he's spent so much time working abroad that his English is perfect.
In short a nice day of temple visits and great views, with a small annoyance at the very beginning.
We started the day by being picked up at the hotel. Then Mully brought us to a coffee plantation. However, even though it's mentioned on the itinerary, don't fall for this; it's a common trick. These drivers are being payed by bringing people to this place. There's no viewpoint here, the girl guiding us showed a few run-of-the-mill herbs and had very little to tell (certainly nothing of interest). Then we were taken to a table, tasted some boringly poured in thees and coffees. Finally we were led to a shop to buy thee and coffee at a steep price. As soon as we paid, the people walked away and we were literally left alone to walk back to the exit without so much as a 'thank you for your visit, the exit is over there'. Very very disappointing and really a little insulting. Tell Mully to skip this item.
Fortunately, the rest of the day was much redeeming. We visited some great temples, the twin lakes and Mully had some tit bits of info to share on these things. He seemed knowledgeable enough and his character was pleasant. He even helped us taste some local food (Babi Guleng, suckling pig).
We couldn't possibly visit Bali and not take in some of the world famous heritage sites. Mully took us to see the largest rice paddy field in the world, which was quite the site to behold. Bali has many rice fields, but this one is definitely worth a visit - we even got to trek a bit through the rice terraces. Another highlight of the tour was a visit to Tanah Lot Temple, which was a magical experience. We visited at low tide, so were able to walk right up to the temple. Mully was an accommodating tour guide, and we were able to pick and choose which world heritage sites we wanted to see.
