Great Bali experience with kind tour guide.
It was amazing Bali experience for half day.
Tour guide was great that made our tour interesting more. He was well trained with huge hospitality, matuared attitude, funny, friendly and more.
We will share this great experience to my friends and SNS.
This tour was also jam packed and well worth the money. Our guide was amazing and shared so much information about the areas with us and also took lots of great pictures of our group. I loved Uluwatu, so breathtakingly beautiful and was fun to see the monkeys on our walk along the Great Wall of Bali :-) The Kecak Dance was good and seeing the sunset while watching the show was memorable, the tour ends off with a seafood barbeque on Jimbaran beach which was a fantastic experience and the food was so delicious and good portions. Money well spent on this tour!
Amazing place. A must see for sure!
A beautiful evening at Uluwatu Temple and Jimbaran Beach
My wife and I did this tour on March 29th 2017 as a cruise excursion (our ship stayed in Benoa over night). Our guide's name was Yansu and he did a very good job in explaining to us the temple and everything we saw on the way there.
The Kecak dance is fascinating and it alone is worth the visit (although it is hard to understand the first half of the performance if you don't know the Ramayana). Sadly all the time during the dance visitor groups were arriving and leaving, so try to find a seat at the top of the arena. Otherwise you will spend half the show time shuffling around to make space for people going up or down the seat rows.
Our dinner on Jimbaran was tasty and very romantic. We sat only 10-15 m from the sea in the first row and we enjoyed it very much. The menu was pre-booked but changing something (no fish, vegetarian, etc. - in my case exchanging the squid for some more prawns) was no problem. You just have tell them as early as possible (we did it at the booking).
All together it was a memorable experiance that we can recommend to everyone! :-)
the guide is not professional at all
The trip could be much better but the guide was impolite and didn't even properly introduce himself to us. He just let us walk around the park and tell us to go in the show when it starts. He shouldn't be in the tourism industry if he doesn't like tourists.
the view at Uluwatu was spectacular at sunset. The dance is something you must watch. They use 70 men instead of using musical instruments. It is different from the performance at Ubud Theatre. The beach at Jimbarang is another spectacular site at night. There are plenty of seafood restaurants and the one we went to looked like the favorite. There is a quartet who will sing to you while you dine. Beside the set menu provided, you can also order additional food. You can feel the party atmosphere.
This evening tour was a great way to cap my trip to Bali --- i had spent the majority of my time in Ubud and had decided to move closer south to make the early trip to the airport a little more humane. The guide and driver picked us up at the hotel and we then made the 1 hour trip to Uluwatu. During the drive there, the guide was very informative on discussing about the local history and culture and the time passed quickly. At Uluwatu temple, we chose to watch the optimal Kecak dance -- and that was fantastic!! (I recommend reading the brochure they will pass you to understand the meaning/storyline). It was also so breathtaking to view the performance over a cliff, overlooking the sunset. Truly a memorable experience. Afterthat, we headed over to Jimbaran Bay for dinner (included in the package).. was served a wonderful selection of seafood on the beach...
Overall a great experience and highly recommended!
I was a bit worried how my first Bali experience was going to unfold. When i arrived at the airport I was excited to see someone holding a sign with my name on it to pick me up! The tour guide was dressed in traditional clothing and was very welcoming :) On the drive to Uluwatu, the tour guide had amazing English and shared who he was, pointed out different temples we'd pass by, & explained some traditional HIndu practices. We stopped by to try some Lewak Coffee and Tea's which i enjoyed! They show you where and how they make the coffee beans before they serve you a cup if you choose to have one. If not, the variety of teas was fun to try in itself. At Uluwatu, i loved hearing the functions/uses of the temples, seeing the monkeys from afar, and the gorgeous view overlooking the ocean. The BBQ fish i had for dinner was amazing also, the best part was eating grilled corn on the cob they sold in carts beachside! It had a romantic feel to it having dinner on the beach, feet in the sand, hearing the waves while the sun sets in front of you. When the suns down there are lit candles on the table and musicians come around singing and playing on their guitars.
The dance was interesting. However - the number of spectators - tickets sold - show that there were too many people -- leaving inadequate room for the dancers to perform adequately. The guide provided was courteous, informative, friendly and helpful.
This is an interesting presentation, depicting the history and culture of Bali. The performers were not able to provide their best because they were cramped up for space -- in the performing area -- because of the number of people allowed in. Many of the spectators were sitting on the performance area limiting the movement of the performers. This reduced the impact of the performance and when the fire was burning - the performances were at some risk too!
