Fun tour, amazing food, great guides
Our tour guide Wayan Dui and our driver Ketut were so incredibly kind. We learned a lot about Bali and the Balinese culture from them. From the entertaining Barong dance, to checking out Ubud's artistic villages (we checked out paintings and they were awesome), to monkeying around, eating amazing food with an amazing view, and finally visiting Tanah Lot--all in all we had an amazing tour.
Also note that we experienced periods of rain during the tour. Despite the crazy rain, we still managed to have fun. All thanks to their expert planning and time management. We came out of it dry and comfy, the rain stopped every time we got out...it only rained when we were in the van driving around! Talk about being lucky.
As we were only in Bali for a few days this tour was perfect as you can customise the tour throughout the day depending on what you want to see (within reason obviously).
Our tour guide was called Tude and he was great, he picked us up from our hotel in the morning and we discussed exactly what we wanted to see throughout the day and what we didn't mind skipping to give us the most time.
Tude was extremely nice and informative, he showed us around the island and was with us every step of the way letting us know all about the history and symbolism of the place.
We managed to squeeze an awful lot into one day and saw everything we wanted to, I couldn't recommend this particular tour and Tude enough!
Informative and efficient tour
I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to get a quick introduction to Balinese culture. Wayan was very efficient in getting us from place to place and he was very informative whenever we were at a famous site or even during the car ride. We started at 9am and got back to the hotel around 7:30pm for a very full day of travel. Wayan even went out of his way to return my sunglasses the next morning after I left it in the car the next prior. All in all, I really enjoyed this tour.
Wow! What an amazing day! Thanks Tude :-)
We did a custom tour and had an amazing time! Our host, Tude, was a lovely man and very knowledgable. He taught us about Balinese culture and history. He had a smile on his face and was always happy. We had a lot of places to visit so we were not sure if we would get it all done. Tude told us he would do his best and he did! We got to see all of them! We cannot thank him enough. We would love to do more tours like this in the future. Thank you!
Nice to see a bit more of Bali!
Wayan was my guide (as most of the guys on Bali I guess ;-)). He was very talkative and happy to give lots of information and answer my questions.
It was nice to be out and see more of Bali.
Tanah Lot was very beautiful, but we saw sunset, at low tide. Nice, but I think it would have been more impressive at high tide.
Ubud is a town that I would like to visit again, when I have some extra time to spare. It felt like a nice place to hang around for a little while.
The monkey forest was funny. The monkey ate a banana on my shoulder, but thought he could steal the hairclip from my hair as well ;-)
Had a great day, was happy to be out. A recommendation as well for people who travel alone (as myself).
We had a great day with our guide Tude on tuesday, october, the 11th. He was driving us safely and with interesting facts to different spots in the ubud area. He considered our individual interests throughout the day, f.e. stopping for rhambutan because he knows we wanted to try them. He informed us about special terms regarding the sightseeing stops, f.e. the bat appearence in tanah lot. We would totally book with voyagin again.
Fantastic!! Wayan showed us the best of Bali
What can I say.... Wayan was our driver and no words can express our gratitude X the information he gave us was outstanding and I more than asked a few questions X the tour was fantastic value and we would recommend as a must X 10 hrs seems long but it flew by and was taken at our instruction X I have mobility issues and at no time was I rushed X we covered the tour and more and we feel the tour haven extensive insight into Bali ad it's culture x thank you thank you thank you!!! Everything we wanted and more x Wayan made the day he made us feel like old friends and helped all day long X cannot recommend highly enough 5 Stars are not enough X
Highlight of the holiday
This was my first time in Bali and as a solo traveler I wasn't really sure what I should be seeing or where I should be going. I booked the tour through GoVoyagin because it includes all the sites I wanted to see in Ubud as well as allowing me to visit Tanah Lot, whereas most companies make this into two separate visits.
I genuinely couldn't recommend the tour enough. Despite the weather being terrible and having to do the tour in the heaviest rain I've ever experienced, I had a great time and my guide was able to answer every single one of my questions. He completely put me at ease as I was nervous about being a solo female traveler and he allowed me to tailor the day and so I could see exactly what I wanted to and miss out on attractions which I wasn't too bothered by.
My guide was incredibly attentive and even helped me decide what to have for lunch! I had a great days sightseeing and have already booked another tour with you guys!
Perfect for solo travelers!
My guide was Ketut and he was an amazing guide! I was able to see much more than I anticipated. As a solo traveler I often walk every where when I travel, but I recommend booking through here to see the best of Bali's temples and cultural heritage because it's not very walkable. My guide was also very knowledgeable and great fun. I often struggle with using the selfie stick to get good photos, and Ketut was more than willing to snap a couple of photos. If you are in Bali, you have to book through here! The guides are fantastic and you get your money's worth. Overall, it was an unforgettable day.
Loved it !
It was a very lovely experience ! We were picked up from our hotel on time and we saw many awesome places in Ubud! We started by watching a Balinese dance at Batubulan Village, it was weird but interesting. After the show, our guide explained us the meaning behind the dance, and I admit that once you understand it you realize how great and philosophical it is! Then we went to the Elephant cave, which was really great ! Our guide could speak excellent english and he wasn't just showing us places, he was sharing with us a whole culture ! Talking about history, religion etc... He knew a lot about all the places we visited and we learned many interesting things. We also visited a place where they make authentic jewelry, the Monkey Forest, Rice terraces (where we had lunch with a stunning view) and the coffee plantations where we could taste 8 differents balinese coffees/teas and especially the unmissable Kopi Luwak ! Then he took us to Tanah Lot, which is one of the most beautiful places I have seen so far. We could watch the sunset over the indian ocean, enjoying the serenity released by this place. Overall, this experience was really amazing and the guide very lovely! We saw many aspects of Bali within one day, I definitively recommand it !
