The trip was overall completely shitty. As soon as I landed, I realized I paid 10 USD extra because I booked from voyagin, those who booked from Lembongan directly got it cheaper. So how is 25% off still expensive than what others got?
The trip organizers, Lembongan water sports were extremely bad. They have really bad toilets and changing rooms, gross is the word. Their lockers were broken and a joke. On the boat the guy demonstrated how to use a snorkeling breathing device, when the boat motor was drowning his voice and no one could even see him. I needed a lifejacket, and the instructors dont even know the basics of life jackets, that they ride up high if not snug enough. They assured me my jacket was proper, and when I got in the water, the jacket started riding up and displacing my snorkeling mask. It was a disaster - couldn't breathe, water rushing in my nose. Instructor came and told me to remove life jacket. There was a reason I wanted to wear a life jacket, right? Anyways out of the 3 snorkeling dips, my first one was completely wasted by this fiasco. But for the next two this instructor really helped me out, this was the only good part in the trip. Then the lunch we were served was full of flies, and I didnt eat a bite. Most of the white people were stupidly eating that food, and even making their kids eat it, coz perhaps they are unaware of diseases like typhoid and jaundice. Then the trip through the mangrove on SUP/Kayak - that mangrove water is extremely dirty. I wanted to do SUP, but instructors told me the water has stingrays in case I fall, I dont know if they were lying, because SUP would require them to pay more attention.
The speedboat they assigned to us was D'Camel - they were completely unprofessional. As soon as we reached the island a girl started screaming "Help Help I can't breathe." She was seriously in trouble, and it took the staff too very long to do something. There was no doctor on board but they gave her a breathing device. While were were returning back, the D'Camel staff wanted me and 2 others to wait for another boat (30 min) to arrive, so they could cram more passengers to the drop off, stating, the drop off is a free service so you should wait. Hello, how is that a Free service, when the extreme high charge I paid says it includes pick up and drop off. After I raised my voice they finally dropped me and others on time.
The perfect day
This is a very well organised trip, with a friendly, professional team who take very good care of their clients.
Everything is well thought out. From water to drink on the boat after a snorkel, through to towels to dry off, showers afterwards and a buffet meal.
We were taken to three spots and managed to see manta rays.
It was an incredible experience and I highly recommend these guys.
Really fun day in the sea!
Pick up from the hotel was punctual and easy. All 3 spots were great and it was amazing seeing manta rays up close just swimming around! Only downside was there was some litter at the manta ray bay. Ended the day with some chill kayaking. Our guides were friendly. All in all a great day out.
The actual snorkelling itself was excellent, we got to see an array of coral, fish and other sea creatures and the guides were very good. The kayak through the mangrove forest was also a very enjoyable experience.
It is however a long way to go, for 3, 30 minute snorkel sessions we travelled for approximately 5 hours there and back. I'm including the time spent waiting for the ferry.
The lunch provided was also of poor quality.
In summary, the actual snorkelling was great, the travel and food not so much.
Amazing day out
We had an amazing time today. The snorkeling was by far the best bit for me and swimming with manta rays was one of the best experiences I've had in the water. The guides were really great and did their best to make sure we all had fun. Lunch was tasty too. The taxi pickup and fast boat transfer made travel from our hotel in Seminyak very easy.
Awesome experience dont miss it !!!
It was a great experience. the team was fantastic and energetic. the package was well organised with nice food and drinks. if you are doing it for first time you should take this !!
The snorkeling was amazing we got to see a wide variety of colourful fish and coral in different locations. However we wasted a lot of time waiting around, we were picked up in time and taken to beach but waited over 30 minutes for the fast boat to the island, along with when finished with snorkeling we over 30 minutes again for a car to pick us up to take us back to the ferry. The lunch also wasn't very nice but other then that the snorkeling experience was very amazing and would definitely recommend snorkeling in Bali. Staff were friendly and helpful
