Very nice day with my wife and two children in Ubud. Our guide has planned good itinerary and we have seen : dance village, monkey forest, rice teraces, mountains volcano, water falls and painting village. We much appreciate the hospitality of Serif and his explanation when we go in every place. He is a really master guide!
Fantastic Day out!!!
We had a great time! The tour started with being picked up straight from our hotel by our guide Wuayne? (Apologies if spelt wrong), who spoke fluent English and was very well versed in the history and traditions of Bali, which he explained as we progressed through our tour. The tour was also quite flexible and we substituted some of the original itinerary destinations with others we had more interest in visiting, such as the chocolate plantation. The most enjoyable experiences were certainly the monkey forest and also the Kintamani Volcano Tour which provided some breathtaking views.
A special thank you to Wuayne for providing an unforgettable experience and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone sitting on the fence...just go for it!
Amazing tour in Ubud Bali
Overall it was an excellent experience, our tour guide "Tude" was very friendly, informative and knowledable. He gave us a lot of useful and interesting insights about Bali's culture and all the locations we visited such as the holy spring temple, the volcano, the rice terraces, and the different art/craft galleries. The monkey forest was so much fun and unlike what we previously heard, all the monkeys were extremely nice, our guide made sure to give us the proper guidance on how to treat those little creatures.
We also experienced the balinese food at d'alas restaurant and it was very tasty, similarly the coffee tasting was equally satisfying with a great view.
Fantastic from pick up right up until drop off
This tour was customized for us because we had already done a couple of things on the recommended itinerary and also it was Nyepi Eve so certain roads and routes were unavailable but the company and the guide/driver (Wayan) did everything to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Wayan picked us up nice and promptly and was a fountain of knowledge and information all the way along the journey and at each stop. Not only that, he was an excellent driver and extremely polite and friendly. Very easy to talk to. Another couple on another tour overheard him giving us information and were so impressed they wanted to ditch their tour guide and use Wayan for future tours.
Highly recommended tour (our personal highlight was the Tirta Empul temple) and an even more highly recommended guide in Wayan.
Amazing experience! Personalised and very informative.
This tour was beyond what we were hoping for. The host was very friendly and willing to customise the tour to our needs. He was very knowledgeable of the Balinese culture and taught us many things about the way Balinese people live. The host was approachable and a lovely man. Next time we come to Bali we will definitely book another tour with this host :) Thank you!
Really lovely tour - very flexible and it is easy to accommodate for sites that you wish to see. Wayan, the guide, was lovely and positive. He was very personable and happy to explain a number of very interesting facts about the various sites and about Bali. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Originally we had hoped to see a few of the cultural sites around Bali in a single day since we had an unexpected extension to our holiday in Bali. We ended up seeing so much more than we anticipated.
Nyoman's colleague Wayan was our guide for this tour. We had such a great experience with him. Not only did Wayan have a detailed understanding of the sites that he guided us through (some sites he let the local experts guide us) he also offered insights into local customs. For example, during this time of year, kite flying is a huge sport in Bali and Wayan explained why we were seeing so many kites through the day. Wayan also shared aspects of family life and religious life in Bali that were very interesting to compare to other parts of Indonesia or Indonesia as a whole.
Wayan was able to answer all our questions, and more importantly, he offered insights into Balinese life that we wouldn't have thought to ask about which made our experience much richer.
Wayan was easy to communicate with and was also very flexible and started the tour by explaining that we could customize the tour schedule. We really felt like we had a private tour. Thanks so very much!
Overall it's an excellent experience! If you were to do this through one of the many tourist agencies lining the roads in Bali, I'm not sure you could have combined so many tours together. Agung is very friendly and helpful, and brought me to many interesting places and never pressured me into buying things from the places he took me.
I guess the price would probably be lower if you went through one of the tourist agencies though!
I am very pleased with this day tour. First of all, we had an excellent guide. He was very friendly and knowledgable, and provided us with a lot of interesting insights about Bali. This made me even more fascinated by this island. He was also very helpful in answering our questions and bringing us to shops.
Secondly, the places we visited (rice paddies, Mt Batur, coffee plantation) struck us with awe. The rice paddies were vast and verdant. It was truly a sight to behold. As for Mt Batur, it was breathtaking and we were reluctant to leave. The air was fresh and cooling. For an affordable and totally worth bill of 100,000 rp per person, we got to enjoy the buffet with the mountain and lake right behind us. Talk about dining with a view! Try the sate lilit and spring rolls!
The coffee plantation visit exceeded my expectations. It not only grew coffee beans but also a multitude of different flowers that were used in teas, such as Rosella, ginger, and lemon grass. It was remarkable. We sampled 12 different teas and their special coffee made by beans yielded from the feces of Luak. The teas were an awakening of the palate. I also got to see how the coffee beans were roasted and had a chance to grind the beans!
Lastly, the reason why I had a whale of a time in Bali was because of the locals! They were very friendly. Food was cheap and good too.
Agung is a splendid guide. We'd be glad to have him bring us around again the next time we come back!
