My name is Wayan Juli. Actually, my full name is I Wayan Juliana. Wayan is a family name for the first child in Bali and Juliana is the name given by my parents because I was born on July. So, it's very easy for people to remember my name. Many thought that I was a female because of my name sounds a bit like a female's name. But I was a male. I was the first child and the only one in my family.
I started showing tourist around, since I was in University in the year 2008 as a part time job to help one of my cousin who also work as driver and tour guide. From him I learned how to be a good driver and how to be a good guide. To earn money actually was the first reason why I did the job. I needed to pay for my studies at that time and also to help my family income because my parents just work as farmers. However, the more I took tourists for a tour, the more I felt that this job made me more proud to be Balinese. I find that working as a Bali driver and tour guide and experiencing the deeper and hidden part of Bali is quite enjoyable as I have more chances to personally meet people from various areas, cultures and intellectual backgrounds.
I will make you discover and explain many things about the island of Bali. Not only because of money, but more than that. Showing people around to see the real Bali is my personal satisfaction. Having a new friend from another country, knowing a bit of their stories about their respective countries. This makes me even more excited to lead this job.
So, what are you waiting for? Come on join me to be Balinese and to explore the hidden part of Bali!

Great experience in Bali
We joined the 1 day tour, guided by Mr. Wayan Juli and his friend Dewa, to the Mount Batur and Ubud, we went to the Tirta Temple which is great and very special, the view of Mount Batur and Lake Batur was stunning though it's cool up there. Wayan and Dewa were very friendly and toured us around and explained the history and culture of Bali to us and we found the trip very enjoyable. Plus they are very flexible on the trip planning and provide valuable input on route planning.
We started the trip at almost noon and we think its better to start our trip earlier next time to allow sufficient time to different location :) I would surely recommend Wayan to my friends for future visit.
Wayan was not able to come on this tour, but he sent a colleague of his (sorry, but I have forgotten his name!). BUT he was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and friendly; he gave me lots of information while we were driving from one destination to the next. He was also very caring and acted like a father-figure: shielding me from oncoming cars, encouraging me to bargain with the merchants, and warning me to be careful at the Monkey Forest, "Remember, they are wild animals." He was also a very safe driver and would shake his head at others driving too fast or erratically. It was very sweet; as a solo female traveler, he made me feel safe and made my tour that much more enjoyable. He taught me a lot about Balinese religion and community, and even took me to Starbucks so that I could buy my Bali mug souvenir! In total we went to: Coffee plantation, rice terraces (2 different locations), Monkey Forrest, Ubud, and Tanah Lot. It was one of the highlights of my trip!! Thank you so much!!! I highly recommend this tour.
We enjoyed the tour very much, guide is very accommodative and information as well.. very good trip indeed :-)
This is an itinerary filled with photo-ops. I particularly enjoyed the Uluwatu, Tanah Lot, and Mengwi Temples. Tanah Lot is a photographer's dream; temple built into a rock just offshore has a truly mystical look. Uluwatu is a working temple with beautiful ocean views, lots of greenery, and lots of monkeys. I really got lucky at Mengwi as there was a big dinner being held for Japanese tourists while I was there. There were many local people there dressed traditionally as well as musicians. The temple itself has beautiful gardens. The itinerary also included a temple known for being crowded with monkeys and a plantation where you can learn about the Luwak coffee (eaten and excreted by civets). The driver was very friendly and I got to learn a lot about his family and daily life in Bali. I was traveling anyway from Jimbaran to Ubud, so I was able to build the itinerary around that. It was a very full day and I really appreciated being able to take all the time I wanted at the various locations.
We were very happy with the airport pick up! Great service and very friendly tour guide who explained a lot and answered all our questions!

I just got back home from our vacation. I want you to know that Kadek was fantastic. He waited for us at the port even though the ship was late. He was very professional, corteous and took very good care of me and my wife. Thanks to Kadek we had an amazing time in Bali.He even had umbrellas for us when it started to rain! Again Putu, thank you so much for your good services and please tell Kadek that we really appreciate everything he did for us. I will recommend you and Kadek to all our friends
Thank you so much
Had a half day photo tour with Putu, and he was fantastic! Knew just where to go for the right shot, and stopped when he saw interesting light for some unplanned, but brilliant, shooting. He not only got me to great places at the right time, but also pointed out perspectives and other things I would have missed. Learned a lot, got some nice photos, and made a friend. Will definitely repeat next time I'm in Bali.
