Description

Take a step away from the bustling crowds of Central and come with us to a quiet local village, Wong Ngai Tung, where you will get to experience what life is like on a local farm and spend time with the local villagers. You will also get a chance to help the young local farmer, Johnny, to transplant his vegetables to his farmland. In this village you will be able to observe traditional architecture and interact with the local farmers tending to their seasonal vegetables. After pick up from the Yuen Long MTR station, our friend and local farmer, Johnny, will take you to the area's famous local beef noodle stall (gak lai yuen) for lunch. After, you will get to taste a traditional Hong Kong dessert - herbal jelly - and pay a visit to Han Heung, a local bakery, which sells delicious lou po beng (or "wife cakes"). After getting energized with all the local food, you will be guided on foot back to Johnny's farm where you get a chance to help him transplant his seedlings to his farmland. NOTE: Guests are welcome to stay over night at the farm, local HK camping style! We will provide tents to spend the evening in the farm.
